Long week...ONE blog!

Happy Thanksgiving ya'll!!

I hope everyone enjoyed there families and time off from work, as we did in our family.  Thanksgiving, mmmm....MY FAVORITE!  I have always loved this particular holiday the most.  I often, thought it was because it's just about FOOD but as I have gotten older, I have placed that it's sooo much less chaotic.  Everyone is relaxed, there isn't any pressure riding on your mind about gift giving, etc.  It is all about the GOOD EATS though, too!  Thanksgiving was the same, yet a little different this year. We headed to Combine, first...to eat with Jason's family.  Then as Jason and his dad headed to the lease, Drake and I made our venture to Hurst, to see my parts!  Man, oh man did I eat, LOTS AND LOTS of food, accompanied by YUM-tastic desserts!

Me and the brother...he's 23 now...WOW!

Syd giving Drake his bath.

LIGHTS out, bath LIGHTS on!

I have taken a picture of Drake beside this decoration on the counter every year...so sad that he's getting soooo BIG!

Muffin MAN!

Friday, Drake and I stayed home.  We baked and put up Christmas deco. Not the tree, we will wait for Daddy on Sunday.

Uncle Buck came to see Drake for awhile:)

Sooo....last year Drake refused to sit in Santa's lap and I refused to make him.  Some of my friends made there children and the although, the pictures are kinda funny when the child and Santa both are like "PLEASE let this be over!"  I am just not one to torture my child.  You have to hear this story...Gramma, Drake and I headed out for a short outing Saturday afternoon, to the Irving mall (gramma lives 10 mins away, I never would of chosen this mall otherwise,LOL!)  As we were walking along, Drake spotted Santa, he jumped out of the stroller and bee-lined straight to the bearded man...gave him a high five and climbed up in his lap, like he knew just what he was doing!  As I picked my jaw up off the ground, I looked at the camera lady and stuttered out; "will you please take a picture?"  Snap and it was done!  Obviously, not my choice of attire and there was no fixing of the hair done but ya know what??  It's a DARN CUTE photo!!  The story behind it makes it the BEST!

It's beginning to look a LOT like CHRISTmas!!!
