Spring Break?!

Well, Spring Break has come and gone!  It went so fast too!!  I shouldn't complain and nagg at the fact that I was sooo insanely busy with work both Monday and Wednesday, that I didn't even enjoy myself but I am going too.  Only because once I had the time to actually take Drake to go do things (Thursday and Friday) he was not feeling well.  Thankfully it's just an allergy attack but it's almost as bad as being diagnosed with croup and or bronchitis.  The poor kid just coughs his head off. 

Our Thursday and Friday were spent at Doctor visits and at home making the best of it!  

We made a tent out of sheets and Drake actually fit in a pillow case, LOL!!

From the time Drake was old enough to notice dogs, he has loved them.  All animals really, but we are not cat people and don't visit the Zoo as much as we'd like, so dogs are his favorite.  Drake talks to Gauge and Bella all the time, rain or shine...he will talk to them through the kitchen window, in person and you can bet on it...as soon as we pull in the driveway he's asking where they are, and can he play with them?!  Now, he would be please as punch if they'd just let him ride them.  The other day Gauge somehow allowed this, although it didn't end nicely...Drake got bucked off.  I think this might have nixed Drake's trying to ride the dogs like bulls. :)

"Sit Gauge, SIT!"  I try explaining to Drake that sometimes the dogs aren't obedient like you are. He then insisted on them having to spend some time in the entryway (Timeout Zone) Then they'd be better mommy! hee hee

Pizza Picnic

Per Drake's request today we enjoyed pizza for lunch on the patio, another request by the little man.  

I wanted to go for a walk this am, and probably still should have but you see, I tried out yoga for the first time last night and man ohhhh man, let me tell ya...I am sore!  My arms and my feet especially...I know, my feet?!?!  It's so weird but I guess it means I did something right!  I thoroughly enjoyed it...I'm going back Sunday.  I have a lot to learn...some of the poses, I didn't even attempt for I didn't want to end up in the ER!  Ha ha.

Looking forward to this weekend...we don't have anything planned.  Good 'ol relaxing, family time.  

"God our Father, thank you for our food.  Bless you, me, mommy and daddy. Amen!!"  He says the same thing every single time.  He has changed it a bit from when he first started but it's pretty much the same.  I am so proud of him.  I don't have to remind him much anymore.  It does however kinda go out the window at other places, out to eat or friends houses but all in all he's a pretty good prayer!

An apple a DAY!

If the saying is true, we sha'll never see Dr. Towns office.  Although, I think it mostly pertains to the Dentist.  Drake could live off of fruit. Apples, Oranges, Strawberries and blueberries mostly but he loves it all!  

He tried to eat the core and all...had to keep directing him around the center.

80's in Februaury...

It's February 27 and it is forecasted to be 82 degrees today!  Geesh!  I do like this weather but I kinda like it COOOOLLLDDD too.  I love to snuggle up on the couch with lots of blankets and hot apple cider, looking at a beautiful fire in the fireplace.  We didn't get too much of that this winter but OHH well.  Drake got a remote control car for Christmas that we just stumbled upon the other day...he had such a blast tormenting the dogs with it, HAHA!  Mommy and Drake have had a lot of together time, for I have been exxxtremely sloooww at work.  A good thing, yes...because I get to spend the days with this cute little fella but a bad thing because no work=no money! :(  It's always like this after the holidays...It'll pick back up in the Spring.  :)

I hadn't cleaned this table in...I don't know how long.  It took nearly a whole roll of paper towels.  But he sure enjoyed eating outside.  Need to go buy new cushions for the chairs...add it to the list!
