Happy Birthday MOMMY!

Saturday we celebrated another year of life for my FABULOUS mom.  Whatever do people do without MOM'S???  Ohhh, how my heart goes out to them.  We won't discuss her age, (ahem...48) I know, I know...she doesn't look a day over 30!  I love you mom!  Jason was absent at this event, you see it's opening Rifle season.  More times than not, he is not present for her birthday bashes.  We kept it pretty simple this year, with Dad and I cooking a scrumptious dinner for the family.  ANNNDDDD...for dessert, we had her FLAVORITE...Red Velvet cupcakes(ooohhh cupcakes from SpRiNkLeS, how I love theee!)  Drake had a blast and passed out in the car on the way home.  What a great birthday Mom...hope you enjoyed as much as I did! :)

TGIF!!

Friday's are GREAT days.  It's the only day of the week that Drake and I do absolutely WHATEVER we want.  I don't have to work and it's just me and him all day long.  This Friday, along with many Friday's we spent the day with Gramma (my Grandma) We met at the Parks mall and rode the carousel, played in the bounce house area, which if you've never been...you should go! totally FUN and very inexpensive.  We shopped a little, that is something kinda from the past...I used to meet my Grandma allll the time before Drake at various malls in the metroplex for some serious shopping, gabbing and eating!  Not really the case anymore, since Drake has come into the picture it's more chasing, and playing; however, we do still get to eat:)  The pictures are not great...as you can see he was way too busy, to stop and give me a "CHEESE"  Hope everyone has an awesome weekend:)

Drake had a little cooking session in the living room while I got ready!

SUCH FUN!

Thank you

Sunday night we had the in laws over for dinner.  I made honey balsamic chicken with mac and cheese and broccoli, NOM NOM!  Anyways, we had them over as an appreciation dinner.  You see, we just did an 'add on' at our house, we converted our garage into a playroom, mudroom, office and built on another garage...sounds complicated, huh?  Well, it was.  My sweet father in law made it all happen in 8 weeks and for the most part, all went smoothly.  BUT it wouldn't of been possible without him.  Jason and I thought it would be appropriate to give him a gift in the end because sometimes you just need and deserve more than Thank you.  So Jason (the hunting/gun man) bought him a Ruger hand gun, I believe something 300...ha ha, when Jason reads this he will immediately contact me and educate me on the specific type of firearm and all of its quirky functions.  I will be sooo happy to be informed:)

I sure LOVE this man!!!

Halloween take TWO!

Happy Halloween...okay, so this post is a little bit out of order.   The first picture is from Sunday am.  Drake got in bed with us around 6:50 and him and Daddy fell back asleep, while I got ready for church. Soooo Cute they are.

Halloween eve...Drake and I wearing our "halloween jamas"  as Drake calls them. :)

Now onto Halloween festivities...I worked all day on Monday and my sweet mother in law who always keeps Drake while I work, had him for the day.  I went to pick him up, headed home for a brief.  We rushed around, or should say; I rushed around getting things prepared for the next day: packing lunches, picking out clothes and laying out "jamas" so when we got in from Trick or Treating, we could rinse quickly in the bath and off to la la land.  You see I am a PLANNER and I get really into it...its almost like an adrenal rush for me to have a lot on my plate and have to have everything from brushing our teeth, to wiping our noses on my list of things to check off for the day, ridiculous I know but it's just me!

Headed off to Aunt He He's and Uncle Jimmy's for Chili dogs and Trick or Treating.

All the CUTE, cute kiddos in their costumes!

Handy Manny has a gun? LOL!!

No, he has a sippy cup!

Drake had sooo much fun.  He wasn't really into Trick or Treating.  He would of much rather be on the Ranger, or on the trailer delegating.  He did go to a few houses but not many at all.  That's okay, we don't need all that candy at our house, just makes your teeth rotten! BUT IT'S SOOO YUMMY!

Saturdays are FUN days

Saturday, oh how I love Saturdays.  This Saturday was indeed packed to its fullest potential.  It started off bright and early.  Typically Drake wakes up around 7:30-7:45 but this morning, he woke us up at 7:01.  Jason and I were awake, just laying in bed chit-chatting about our day.  We got some good, high quality family cuddle time in though, before the chores, work load and festivities began.  I headed off to work, a FULL day.  Jason, Drake and Captain (one of Jason's really good friends)  headed off to the Ranch (Corsicana) for some "boy time"  shootin' guns and fishing.  When I finally got off work, and got home.  I was greeted with these two handsome boys, eagerly awaiting my arrival. :)  Then we headed off for some fun at the Grimes Halloween party.  Soooo much fun.  The pictures will show all the FUN we had.  Happy SATURDAY ya'll!

Handy Manny and Mommy:)

Perfect chaos

I titled this blog 'perfect chaos' because it's soooo my family!  I would like no part in being perfect.  I don't try at all to act, or play the part.  I simply live life to the fullest and if we accomplish great things along the way, that's just bonus, Amen?  The chaos part well, that's easy to explain...just take a look at the few photos I have shared with this blog.  Well, after a very cooped up "sick"day, when Daddy got home Drake and Mommy were anxious to do something.  With the Ranger game being postponed, there was nothing left to do but carve our pumpkin.  I really don't know why we carve a pumpkin?  We don't display it on our front door step, their is nobody around to see it.  Anyways, we sure had a GREAT time doing it.

So cute this little dude!

Let the carving begin!

So in love...

I guess he was still hungry?

Let this be the start of my chaos description...

Two handsome boys with our Jack 'o lantern!

It's all in the eyes...

I can remember being a kid and my mom would say to people, "I just know Hilary or Clinton is getting sick, I can see it in their eyes."  Do I ever know what she was talking about now that I have a little one.  I can glance at Drake and know if something is wrong.  That was definitely the case Monday night and Tuesday morning.  Praise God, it didn't last long!!!  Just a little cough and fever but nothing donuts served on your favorite Mickey Mouse plate, paired with his favorite beverage (milk)  and here's what topped it off, being aloud to eat it in the living room!!

Look at those sick, yet sweet eyes.  Sure glad they have their twinkle back!
