HCDC Christmas Program

Today was Drake's Christmas party at Church.  He looked absolutely handsome!!  I wish that he acted as well as he looks but hey, he is only 2.  I am truly struggling with him and his "fits/tantrums" here lately.  It seems like they are happening much more often and the arguing...oh, sha'll I even go there??!!! I am just exhausted with it!  I also struggle on what is the best method for "fixing" this issue.  I have prayed and PRAYED about it.  I have repremanded him in the ways that I see fit, due to the mis behavior.  I think that God is speaking to me, it's just whether or not I want to accept his answer, LOL!! I know that this is a phase of life that ALL toddlers and parents face, I guess I just thought that maybe my family wouldn't, haha... I know, hysterical!!  Okay, enough on that subject...I almost feel a little better about it...:)

I would have usually taken umpteen pictures of Drake at the house this morning, before we headed out the door but the weather was yucky and I needed to hit the road.  So we had a mini photo session in my classroom!  Thanks to my friend Brittany for snapping these cuties!  :)

                                                             MR. Cheesy burritos!!

Drake performing with his class.  I had to hide behind this little tree and I thought I was doing so well...and LOOK I got more tree, than Drake, LOL!

****A ohhhhh so very special THANK YOU to my pals Lindsy and Megyn for taking such wonderful care of this little boy of mine:) **********

The Weekend!

Friday through Sunday is called the weekend...I am not sure on why it has received such a name but I LOVE this part of the week.  We will start with Friday, I love it.  This is mine and Drake's day, although we typically share it with Gma.  This Friday was a bit different...started off the same, ended the same but had a not so great middle.  We had plans to go shopping and such with Gma and they were abruptly changed when we got to our destination and poor Drakey threw up!!!:(  If you know me at all, you can guess my reaction to this event.  If not, just know that I can sometimes be a bit mellow dramatic and exaggerate a smidgen.  So the throw up was really just a little spit up but since he is 21/2 I refuse to call it "spit up".  So, Drake and I headed home and quarantined ourselves due to the fact that I thought he might have caught a stomach bug.  So glad that didn't happen:)  Although we escaped the dreaded stomach virus, we didn't however a two night in a row "nightmare".  I don't know if anyone is familiar with these so called "night terrors" and I really hope nobody is because let me be the first to tell you they are no FUN!!  Drake's luckily only lasted 1.25 hours and from what I have heard and read, it was WEAK.  I find that sooo hard to grasp but am so very thankful for the fact that it was mild.  We all slept soundly last night, no nightmare, fever, vomiting, etc.  Soooo glad!

We all went to church this morning happy and thankful for one another:)  Finished the weekend with our usual drive thru Dairy Queen and topped it off with roaming around Midlothian, looking at Christmas lights.  SO happy to see people decorating their houses, representing Jesus, the light of the WORLD!!  We love you JESUS!!

Drake LOVES helping me clean house..

                                                         My TWO favorite Cowboys:)

                                                                 Where is Drake??!!!
I see, I get a smile when ICE CREAM is soon to hit the belly!!
Our house...Thank you sooo much Jason!

YUMMY!!

Oh...so yesterday I had my work Christmas party...as I was in the bathroom getting ready, Drake and Jason were playing around in the bed.  Drake walks in and says; "Mommy, you PRETTY!!! Now let me go get my pow pow back!"  Ha ha...I responded with "Thank you Jason!!" since I knew he sent him in.  Drake has told me a couple of times lately that I am pretty though, on his own.  I know this because Jason wasn't even home.  I love that my husband is teaching Drake to be such a gentleman!!

Drake is potty trained and often will refuse company while he is going to the restroom but those rare times when he asks me to go too, it's sooo sweet because when he finishes, he says "ohh...let's put the seat down for the ladies!  Here mommy, it's your turn."

Today, as Drake and I were walking along outside, he looked up at me and asked to hold my hand.  I really wanted to CRY but I didn't.  I just gave him my hand and enjoyed every second of it.  I have replayed it in my head a million times and it only happened, maybe 4 hours ago!!!  I am truly living the DREAM!!!  Thank you Jason and Drake for making me such a Proud and Happy woman! :)

Just because...

Thursday is a school day and I always pick Drake's clothes out the night before...makes my morning much simpler.  So, I had just picked his clothes out and we were off to take a bath.  We walked into the bedroom and Jason was laying his clothes out for the next morning...he's such a considerate husband.  You see, per Jason's liking, he gets up Monday-Thursday at 5 am and goes to the gym. From there he goes straight to work.  So, that being said, he lays all of his necessities out and all he has to do, is brush his teeth and put his workout gear on and he is out the door.  LOVE HIM!! Bit of a ramble here but I have a point...I had laid out a long sleeve shirt and Drake's vest for him to wear...Jason and I must have been on the same brain wave because he had his vest picked out too. So the next morning I told Drake that Daddy was wearing his vest today..Drake thought we should take a picture of him and send it to Daddy, so we did.  WE took a few extras too!!

Happy Weekend YA'LL!

Eat, Sleep, HUNT!

This past weekend the hubby and I headed to the deer lease for my annual hunting adventure.  Since having Drake, I only go once a year, while Jason goes many more. :)  It's an absolutely amazing weekend, that I look forward to each year.  Many of my friends, shake their heads at me...you just don't understand!  I have been asked many of times, WHY!?!?  I think there are many reasons, here are a few: a) It's peaceful...there isn't anything around you.  Cell phone signal is bleak.  So, it's just the hubby and me:)
b) It's his most favorite thing to do...so, I want to share it with him.  Ya know?  Like be apart of what makes him so happy.
c) EATING...man oh man the eating.  Starts off at Hard Eight's BBQ in Stephenville.  Best BBQ ever.  Then all the snacks for the Truck ride, to make the 5 hours go by. THEN...breakfast at the cafe: two egg ham and cheese omlette, side of old fashioned grits and two slices toast, YUMMMMM-O! THEN, last and most important Dinner, beef steak, loaded potatoes, onion smothered in no better, than BUTTER and then straight to bed because face it, you can't move due to being stuffed!

Anyways, here are some pictures from our nice and much needed weekend get a way.  I shot a 9 point buck, my biggest one yet!  GOOOO ME!!

This is our bed...the house is super old and grungy but I think that adds to the excitement!

Our source of warmth! It sure is noisy though!!

The kitchen...if you want to even call it that!

Jason, checking out the trail cam pics...making sure the BIG one is still out there for a KILL!

Why you ask, is he brushing his teeth at the kitchen sink?  Because the bathroom is SOOO Small that you can't freely use the arm motion to brush, LOL!

It's the only time you will see me smile awake at 5AM!!

There he is!!

Finally heading to breakfast...its 10:30! I'm starving!

Telling his Dad all about my deer! He was sooo proud:)

Evening hunt, here we come!

Now, there is no need to be jealous of my attire and or my weekend FUN!

PJ days are our most favorite days!

This past Friday, Drake and I stayed in our Pj's and did household chores.  Well, I did household chores.  Drake played a lot, I played too but my main focus was to get some organization back into this house!  Life as a Lee has been a bit out of practice lately.  With the holidays in full swing, busy at work and all, we've just kind of fallen off.  I would call it a VERY successful day.  Got caught up on laundry, dishes, cleaning and everything put in it's Christmas place.  I made grilled cheese roll ups and tomato soup for lunch, wish I would of taken a picture of these cute little roll ups...Drake and I devoured quite a few, rather quickly.  They were a pinterest inspired dish.  I find my self having a lot of dishes now a days, coming from pinterest.

Anyways, here is my cutie in his Mickey Pj's, riding his Mickey airplane, while watching Mickey on TV!  GEESH!!

Mickey Mouse palooza

I know I have mentioned before the LOVE that my sweet Drake has for Mickey Mouse.  Here is some evidentiary support!:)

Picnic in Drakes's bed with all his pals!

Reindeer cutie

I've been bad again, I know!!  So, I am going to do a few blogs in one day of different days, over the past few weeks.

I just love Drake's winter hat this year!  He has a couple of them but this one is MY FAVORITE!  We just stumbled upon it one day at Target and he said; "I want it!"  Now, not every time do I purchase or give this cutie what he wants but this particular one, there was ZERO hesitation...in the basket it went.  Well, actually he wore it the duration of our shopping trip.  :)
